Blockbuster UFC Weekend Ahead: TUF25 Finale and UFC213.

We are heading into the 4th July weekend which only means one thing for the UFC.  A massive weekend of sport to round off the holiday.

The Ultimate Fighter reality series will conclude ‘The Ultimate Fighter 25: Redemption’  which pips former UFC fighters against eachother for the opportunity of a second chance.  This series was based on the Welterweight division with Team Garbrandt v Team Dillashaw.

Dhiego Lima faces Jesse Taylor in the TUF 25 finale in the co-main event and in the main-event current UFC lightweight star Michael ‘The Menace’ Johnson who was on TUF 12 series, faces 17-0 new comer Justin Gaethje who is the current WSOF Lightweight champion.

On Saturday night the UFC’s holty-anticpiated ‘best card of the year’ UFC213, concludes the holiday weekend with two title fights on the line.

Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis returns to the Lightweight divison against UFC veteran Jim Miller.

In the Heavyweight division a blockbuster bout is taking place between former UFC Champion Fabricio Werdum, facing former Pride and Strikeforce Champion Alistair Overeem.  This could possibly be a number one contenders fight for a title shot, just make sure you dont blink!

In the co-main event, the first piece of gold is on the line with the Middleweight Interm-title fight between 13-1 Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker, who’s on an eight fight win streak.  Both have been on a tear throughout the Middleweight divison of recent and will look for victory to land a title shot against Michael Bisping.

In the main-event we have a rematch between UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes, who has deafted Meisha Tate and returing Ronda Rousey.  She’s currently on a 5-0 winning streak.

Nunes faces tough prospect Valentina ‘Bullet’ Shevchenko who has already been beaten by Nunes, but has picked up wins over former 135 pound Champion Holly Holm and  Julianna Pena in the top condenders fight as well as  added to her armoury since the unanimous defeat over Nunes.
