The Croatian superstar is being investigated by Croatian authorities following his testimony during the trial of Zdravko Mamic, who is being accused of corruption. As reported by Aleksandar Holiga:

Zdravko Mamic, who is the former vice president of the Croatian FA and former president of Dinamo Zagreb, has been on trial for taking €20 million out of his former club Dinamo.

If he is proven to have committed perjury, he could face 6 months to 5 years in prison. Following the accusations fired at his team mate Ronaldo, who is accused of defrauding the Spanish government by allegedly avoiding tax, this is the last thing the Spanish club needed.

Will Modric now threaten to leave the club?
