According to sources, young 18 year old Celtic and Scotland goalkeeper, Aidan McAdams is close to agreeing a deal with Rangers for up to 3 years that could eventually net Celtic £150,000.
There had been interest from a host of English clubs but apparently Pedro Caixinha’s side have won the race for the young ‘keeper.
Aidan had been at Celtic since age 8 and was the first choice goalkeeper for Scotland’s u17s at the last European Championships.
The 18 year old was highly regarded at Parkhead but feels that he has more of a chance at breaking into the Rangers Starting XI than he does at displacing Celtic Number 1, Craig Gordon.
He will be hoping he can dislodge Wes Foderingham in the long term while surpassing, January signing Jak Alnwick. It’s a move that might anger some Celtic fans however the youngster has to make the move that he feels is best for his career, and if he believes he has a better chance of becoming first choice ‘keeper at Rangers then it’s a brave and respectable decision.
