UFC Fight Night Returns To Singapore.

This Saturday 17th June, the UFC returns to Singapore with UFC Fight Night 111.

This is only the second Fight Night of the year and throws up a mean-main event clash in the Women’s 135 pound Bantamweight division between former UFC Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm and Brazillian boxer Bethe ‘Pitbull’ Correia.

Holm has already written her name in the history books becoming the first person to beat Ronda Rousey, a fighter who could possibly go down as the greatest fighter of her generation. However former boxing and kickboxing Champion Holm is on a devastating three fight loosing streak with a record of 10-3.

Based on rankings this should be an easy fight for Holm who is ranked #7 compared to Correia’s #13 ranking.  But as Holly ‘The Preachers Daughter’ would tell you following her stunning and shocking destruction of Rousey, this is not always the case.

Despite Holm’s three fight loosing streak, she seems in high spirits ahead of this clash looking to get back on track, as seen below:

UFC Fight Night 111 also throws down a Heavyweight clash between former UFC Heavyweight Champion and MMA veteran Andrei Arlovski, who also trains with Holm at Jacksonwink MMA, against Polish-powerhouse and UFC rookie Marcin Tybura.  He is one of the best up and coming stars in the division.

Also on the card, featured bouts between former Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos, who has recently moved up to 170 pounds facing Tarec Saffiedine.

Belgian-born Saffiedine who is the former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion, will prove to be a tough contest for RDA hoping to breed new life in a new division.
