South Korea Suggests World Cup Bid…With North Korea…Seriously

Sideline View gives details on the South Korean governments wish to work with North Korea, through football.

In the spirit of helping “to create peace”, South Korean President Moon Jae-In, has suggested that South Korea and North Korea co-host the 2030 World Cup along with several other North-East Asians countries.

The South Korean President was elected last month and is a lot more liberal than previous presidents and see’s this as a way of opening dialogue with North Korea. However, instead of seeing this in a similar light; they have been carrying out missile tests at an unprecedented rate. He has asked Infantino to have interests on the matter.

Infantino was over at the u20 World Cup, which resulted in England beating Venezuala in the final 1-0 thanks to a goal from Everton’s Calvert-Lewin and penalty heroics from Newcastle United’s Freddie Woodman, winning their first global title since 1966.

Do you think that the England U20 squad can push on from this and emulate what Germany has achieved? Check out this article from one of Sideline View’s journalists that answers this very question.
